George Weber for President This cartoon, as printed in the Missourian Weekend, June 30-July 1, 2007, accurately voices the wishes of many Missourians. These days, candidates are forced to accept large donations. So, here is your opportunity to become part of my effort with only modest assistance. According to the Federal Election Committing for the first reporting quarter in Missouri, only 671 people made contributions totaling $741,687 to any candidate. If the Missouri population is about 6,000,000, only .000111% of the population made donations. Thus, very few people actually donate to campaigns and average $1,105 per contribution as stated in the report. I, however, do not solicit nor would accept campaign gifts as stated on my website. But, I do need your help! Not for campaign money, but to offset the $1,000 Missouri filing fee. For as little as $1.00 from 1,000 donors; $5.00 from 200 donors; $10 from 100 donors or any combination, you can help me offset my expenses.
