China is well on its way to taking over the productive leadership in the world. We, on the other hand, are fast becoming the leading consumers; this, at the cost of well paid jobs.

I see China becoming part of the solution to the coming North Korea problems if we continue to develop a relationship.

A couple of years ago, I have visited China and have had correspondence with the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. I have proposed the establishment of a Chinese Consulate in Missouri. This presentation has since been forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affair of the People’s Republic of China for their action.

It is my hope that China will establish a Consulate in the Second District as a service to China and our local residents as our relationship with China continues to grow.
