Accomplishments…

  • Packaged land for Shaw’s Garden in Eureka - 1955
    –This provided affordable housing to the new Chrysler workers.
  • Provided land for new Post Office, Telephone Company and first shopping mall in Eureka.
  • Located site for Missouri Eastern Correctional Center.
  • Instrumental in the incorporation of Eureka Missouri.
  • Arranged for and transported elk herd for Lone Elk Park in St. Louis County.
  • Instrumental in getting new bridge over the Meramec River on now Hwy W..
  • Provided land for public park and established local history museum in Eureka.
  • Red Cross volunteer for over 30 years.
  • Developed award winning volunteer program and recruited over 750 volunteers in the Volunteer in Corrections Program.
  • Elected area State Representative in 1964.
